SYMBOLS OF RESILIENCE, SELF-LOVE AND DETERMINATION

Each tattoo, from the roses to the powerful animals, reflects a piece of my story—my pain, my growth, my triumphs, and my ongoing journey. The meanings behind them are not just reminders of past struggles but symbols of my resilience, self-love, and determination. They represent a soul that refuses to give up, that embraces every part of who I am and continues to push forward, stronger and more determined than ever.

  • Yellow Rose: A symbol of New Beginnings, embracing the hope of fresh starts and new chapters ahead.
  • The Single Thorn: Represents Betrayal, a painful experience that has left a mark, but also serves as a reminder of growth and resilience.

  • The Rainbow of Roses: A visual representation of your complexity, your emotional depth, and the emotional barriers you sometimes put up, reflecting your emotional unavailability.

Right Arm Tattoo

  • The Six Mums: Each flower represents a family member—one for your mom and one for each of her children.
  • Cancer Ribbon: The ribbon is in two tones:
    • Orange stands for Myelofibrosis, the cancer your mom battled, which took her life within just 12 weeks.
    • Green stands for Mental Health Awareness, reflecting your mom’s lifelong struggle with bipolar disorder. It’s a poignant tribute to her fight to stay stable, especially in the face of her devastating diagnosis, and to the strength it took to fight for her sanity.
  • The ribbon’s design and placement reflect both her resilience and the struggles she faced with mental health, and ultimately her triumph of maintaining stability in her final days.

Left Thigh Tattoo

  • Lion with Roses: This tattoo represents your fierce competitiveness, stemming from your anger after your marriage ended. The roses symbolize self-love, reminding you to care for and appreciate yourself, even during times when others may not.

Upper Left Arm Tattoo – Phoenix (October 17, 2022)

  • Phoenix: This tattoo is deeply symbolic of your journey of rebirth and transformation. The rising Phoenix flying through the flames represents your overcoming of significant struggles and painful experiences from the past two years. The vibrant colors symbolize hope, a bright future, and resilience, while the talons remind you to hold on through the struggles ahead. The smoke in the background is the fading of past mistakes, and the open mouth of the Phoenix is a testament to your commitment to always speak your truth, no matter the challenges.

Right Thigh Tattoo – Wolf with Roses

  • Wolf with Roses: Represents the strength and courage required to navigate your journey after your divorce and through life’s changes. The wolf symbolizes your ability to endure even when walking alone, but the roses are a reminder that you are never truly alone—you are loved and strong enough to face whatever comes next.

Upper Right Arm Tattoo – Cheetah (April 17, 2023 – May 2, 2023)

  • Cheetah: This tattoo was a deeply personal decision, especially as it represents both your love for running and the strength you’ve inherited from your mom. Cheetahs are known for their speed, strength, and determination, and this perfectly describes your resilience. The Ice Blue Eyes were chosen to reflect your mom’s eyes, continuing the theme of family strength.
  • Roses and Butterflies: The roses underneath the cheetah symbolize patience and a reminder that true love is worth waiting for, despite the false pretenders. The butterflies symbolize beauty, freedom, and change, representing your personal transformation over the past few years.
  • The special flowers in blue and white are a symbol of your hope for a brighter future, a future you are now more determined than ever to create. Through the ups and downs, you’ve endured, and now you’re walking out of the hardships stronger, with a renewed sense of self and purpose.
